Artist's Biography
Orange
Creek Riders is an indie rock band from Orlando, Florida. It’s members
include singer, guitarist, and songwriter Darren Soto, harmonica player
Darren Vierday, bassist Jeff Jordan and drummer Jeff Sudbury. Influences
also include punk, ska and alternative.
After playing local festivals and venues since 2013, the band hit the studio
and released its first album “Oranges and Grapefruit” in October 2018. Most
songs are inspired by Central Florida’s citrus grove and cattle ranch
heritage including fan favorites like “Orange Kings”, “Long Bumpy Road”, and
“Sweet Clementine.” Album is produced by Jason Woods.
In 2019, OCR recorded their 2nd album “Back to the Grove” featuring all new
songs played at various festivals throughout Central Florida. This follow up
album is a sequel to “Oranges and Grapefruit” and influenced by local citrus
and cattle ranch folklore. It features new fan favorites such as “One by
One”, “Pied Piper” and “The Devil’s Wolves”. Album is produced by Jason
Woods.
With the pandemic, 2020 was almost a lost year. “Rockin’ Horse” emerged from
the turmoil. The album includes a combination of previously unreleased songs
by Orange Creek Riders and Soto solo works. It features popular tracks like
folk punk “Already Gone” and Americana “A Moment in Time” as well as epics
like title track “Rockin’ Horse” and cathartic “Return of the Rider”. Album
is self-produced.
We hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as we like playing them!
