Robbie Ansley was born in1967 a country
boy from the start his family lived in a small share croppers house
on his great grandpas farm in McDuffie County where his mother sang
to him and he soon began singing with her at home and in church.
Ansley started writing country songs in 1996 Robbie and a friend
went around to a few local churches to play and sing also on a local
...radio station where Greg Harden called them the singing welders.
In 2003 Robbie won third place in the VH1 song of the year writing
contest for country songs.In 2008 worked on a project with Standoff
Studios on some songs for a reality fishing show that was aired on
the outdoor channel called "The Catch".
Ansley is also a published poet and Author writing short stories for
a local paper and is now working on a novel.
Robbie formed several bands before joining a local Thomson band"
Southbound" where he co-wrote songs on their album" Up To My Neck In
Red" that was released in 2005.They played all over the CSRA
including "The Day In The Country" and at "The Country Club"in
Augusta Ga.Later the band changed otheir name to "17 South" Where
Ansley Co-wrote more songs on their Album released in 2008.
They opened For over 25 Major Artist Such as Tracy Lawrence, Trace
Adkins,Shenandoah, John Anderson,Danielle Peck, T-Gram
Brown,Jeff-Bates and Lady Antebellum just to name a few.The Band
Broke up in 2009. and he is writting new songs and and now I'm
working on his book plus doing artwork to sell to pay for his
recordings right now in the studio recording his first solo album
.what keeps him going is his love of music that runs so deep.
