Foxpalmer

When people hear the term “singer-songwriter,” they often think of that guy at the local open mic night, singing earnest songs about heartbreak and love without so much as one person at the bar paying much notice. It’s perhaps surprising then, that Foxpalmer is known as a singer-songwriter, especially after hearing her debut album “Locked In Memory.”
Foxpalmer (real name Fern McNulty) is a London based singer-songwriter, originally from Tamworth who is already getting attention for her tireless weekly forays into London’s bustling music scene. Her debut album incorporates folk, country, soul and pop rock sensibilities to create something with an instant connection. Her voice is soulful and effortless, somewhat akin to Tracey Chapman (“…a fantastic voice with some very good acoustic playing reminiscent of Tracey Chapman….” Dave Scott, Fireworks Magazine), while the ensemble backing her across the opening 6 tracks transform these tracks into something quite special indeed.
Foxpalmer has already garnered a lot of attention, finding herself featured on the Explosive Unsigned Radio Show, hosted by Dana McKeon, interviewed by Anders Ekdahl for Battle Helm Magazine and being given regular airplay by Garry Foster on WCRFM 101.8. Her powerful voice and supreme talent for a melody is certainly worth writing home about, and this debut album is a testament to just how strong a songwriter Foxpalmer is.
Just goes to show that the term “singer-songwriter,” doesn’t always demonstrate the true meaning of the musician.

The Cravens

website: www.cravensongs.com
The three members of The Cravens have a long and twisted history together, although under the name of The Cravens, the band is very new: Fast becoming the ‘rising stars’ in the Palm Beach County music circuit.
Bill and John Storch met Ron DeSaram in 1980. The Storch brothers were in an ‘alternative’ rock band, Black Box Approach and Ron was in a similar band called The Demos. The two bands attached on to each other as both bands were among the very few bands in South Florida playing original ‘New Wave’ / ‘Alternative’ music. The two bands played numerous gigs together from Miami to West Palm in the early 1980’s.
In 1982, Ron joined Crossfire Choir while Black Box Approach changed its name to Ata-Tat and moved to the Northeast in 1983 to achieve relative success. Ron joined Ata-Tat from 1985-1989.
Crossfire Choir moved on to become the ‘house band’ at CBGB’s (from '83-'95) with Ron re-joining Crossfire Choir in 1990-1995 and managed by Hilly Kristal. Ata-Tat, though never signed to a major label, had a handful of regional hits in New England and toured the region extensively; including multiple shows with Crossfire Choir at CBGB’s throughout the 1980’s.
The Storch brothers moved back to West Palm Beach in 1990, working extensively in the local arts community, with Ron moving back in 2000. Since 2000, the three future Cravens had worked together on many recordings under various names, including Hillbilly Heart and The Sewing Circle Sues, which was a Crossfire Choir / Ata-Tat reunion band. The Sewing Circle Sue’s did a much promoted and anticipated “World Tour” with two dates: One at CBGB’s in NY as part of their closing ceremony and the other at Respectable Streets. Bill Meredith joins us on drums with a friendship of 30 years and writer with The Palm Beach post. Dennis Ambrose joins us on bass from Crossfire Choir of the "90's" CBGB's fame.
The Cravens were officially formed in 2013 and after a series of open mic nights, the band are now regulars on the local circuit, fast building a fan base through You Tube videos, Facebook, ReverbNation and other social media.
