Bellman

Bellman is a Norwegian alternative singer/songwriter whose debut album, Mainly Mute, was a breakout hit in 2009, garnering critical accolades and featuring the popular single "Spaceship, Move Slow." Born Arne-Johan Rauan and hailing from Larvik, Norway, the singer/songwriter cites influences that include contemporary experimental rock bands such as Sigur Rós and Radiohead; classic pop/rock bands such as the Beach Boys and the Beatles; alternative rock bands of the '90s such as Mercury Rev and Slowdive; and Swedish talents such as Stina Nordenstam.
Upon signing a recording contract with Frode/C+C Records and collaborating with producer Lars Klokkerhaug, Bellman made his album debut in 2009 with Mainly Mute. The album spawned a couple of singles, "Spaceship, Move Slow" and "Celestine," the first of which, originally released in 2008, proved especially popular and reached the #6 on the Norwegian albums chart the first week.
Thanks in part to generally enthusiastic critical show-reviews and dedicated fans.
The in-concert recording Live at Sliperiet (2009) was released in the immediate wake of Mainly Mute's critical and commercial success, with only a month's time separating the two albums.
Bellman also jumped on an amazing opportunity when 17 of Norways hottest remixers, such as Of Norway, Rune Lindbaek, Palace of Peasure and Prins Thomas wanted to do a remix of each track from Mainly Mute. This resulted in a 2xcd album called Mainly Mute remixed (2009).
His second album The Curse, released in 2010, also received brilliant reviews and the single Olivia was listed on Norway´s biggest radio station for over 10 weeks. Both albums have been appearing on countless "best album of the year"-lists around the world (ACUVI, NoFearOfPop, Eardrums, Audiozone etc.).
Bellman have just released his third album "Melopoiïa", which has been awarded amazing reviews from all over the world. In addition, one of the songs on the album (Accident By Art) was used in the official trailer for the new documentary on the legendary fotball player Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne, which did screen in UK cinemas in June 2015.
The artist has performed live on the biggest TV stations in Norway and South-Korea, and play-listed on the largest radio stations in several countries.
He has been spending his time touring the world for the last four years, and has recently visited countries such as Russia, China, South-Korea, Japan, Denmark, USA and United Kingdom.
He recently dropped his fourth album, called MORPHOLOGY (2017), and one of the songs (Can You Feel It?) recently scored a prestigious sync in the trailer for the star studded movie How To Talk To Girls At Parties (2017).
Album: Morphology (2017)
Morphology is Bellman's fourth album release.
The grand masterplan behind the album, is to explore the meaning of Morphology. Morphology basically means “The study of how things fits together”.
That may refer to many different disciplines, but on this album I have taken on the morphology og lyrics and melodies. That means that I have studied the interactions, and explored what happens when one changes small musical or lyrical elements of a whole, like parts of or a full song.
In addition to this I also wanted to combine my previous acoustic expression, with a bit more electronic elements. That opened a whole new world to me, although I think you will definitely find a a common thread to my earlier albums.
All this mixed together with my melancholic, twisted mind, you will get the album Morphology.

Phil Cooper

Phil is a contemporary singer/songwriter who has earned excellent reviews from the national press, with his thought provoking songwriting and energetic live performances drawing comparisons to Neil Finn, Glenn Tilbrook and Ben Folds.
Having been the frontman for The Haiku for 6 years, 2012 saw him go it alone, and play a host of solo shows, including highly successful support slots for Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) and Dave McPherson (InMe). During his live shows, he makes a real connection with the crowd, often starting and finishing the shows entirely unplugged and shunning the stage to stand right in among the captivated audience.
2014 saw the release of his solo album “Half Live”. Wanting to capture the feel of his live show on a studio recording, Phil recorded two live shows and took them in to the studio to add a few little extras. The result is an album which revels in the rawness of a live concert, but still presents the songs the way Phil hears them in his head!
2016 is an exciting prospect that sees Phil turning his back on his life in executive management (he was Technical Director for an internet company) and plunge head first into a fully professional music career with the help of a brand new album, "Things I'll Never Say".
Phil is also heavily involved with the Village Pump Folk Festival, having stage managed the Village Pump Stage since 2012.
