Riffuz Navarro
His beginnings in music began at age 7 years. First as a student of piano and organ (Wagner and Academies Yamaha). He played two concerts (as organist. Their first concert at age 10 and the second show at 12 years old). After four years in this instrument is decided to change. After he studied drums for a year.
His studies on the guitar began at age 14 on his own. He studied classical guitar and music theory for four years at the University of Guadalajara, and the electric guitar and music theory with tutors. Teachers would: Francisco Orozco who was Director of the Symphony Orchestra of Guadalajara in the 90's, Francisco Peralta, David Mosqueda, Jose Guadalupe Argot, Edgar Villalobos, among others. He then studied sound systems and audio engineer in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
At 14 years old he joined his first band called HK being the youngest musician in the band and premiered to an audience of 500 people. This band dissolve because the rest of the members was a hobby. Riffuz at this age already had in mind studying music (as professional).
For his amazing talent to improvise and facility to play various styles of music, he was invited to play as a session guitarist and support some shows in major projects in the city of Guadalajara. Aware that the style that he wanted to dominate because of their influences was Rock / Metal, in the year 1997, he joined to the Hard Rock band called Angel Veneno. This became his first group which achieved his first major goals like a professional musician and where he became a fundamental part as a guitarist, arranger and song-writer. They recorded an EP - Demo in the city of Guadalajara, this EP releases two singles to radio. These singles would put them in a large ne ​​tour 1998 with important artists of Mexico. After recording one more album with the band in Mexico City DF called "Uno", from which also released two singles. The band dissolved while working on their third album preproduction, by doubt of two members to continue in the world of music.
Before starting a new stage in his career, he joined two bands of Finish / Melodic-Black Metal. The first was called Corvomorto, he joined the band to support them on the show "Alma Mater Fest" in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The second band was Mitum with whom he spent a year on tour, opening for bands like Makina and Transmetal. He worked permanently in 2 Cover Bands. These bands were of Trooper Gear (GT) where he played with Fidel Arreygue, (bassist of the group Los Bukis in the 90s and now bassist Marco Antonio Solis) this band as a concept had to pay tribute to bands like, Black Sabbath, Kiss, led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Dream Thearer, AC-DC & more Classic and new Rock / Metal bands. The other band was called Habitación 5 and focused on paying tribute to Latin Rock bands and Spanish- pop bands. In 2008 he recorded his first solo material called "Inspiration of Creation" and attended the NAMM Show in Anaheim CA. in 2009 and 2010. Today is sponsored by Godin Guitars, VGS Guitars, Tesla Pick up's, Slovak Pedals, Dark Horse Strings and Gig FX. 2010 is the year where he began to study Coaching for musicians and also support as producer and guitarist the group called Mamá TV (Rock-pop), also Pumokel as a musician for live shows. Also records his second album called Global Bait and released a virtual single called Devil's Gambler in 2011. He also record an album called “Amargo Tonico-Project” & EP called N.P.I. Both which will be released in 2013.
Riffuz (project):
Inspiration of Creation: Riffuz starts with his solo project in mid-2007 recording an album (which itself began as a demo) which marks a new beginning in the Riffuz musical direction, this being the first solo album, instrumental album composed, produced and arranged by Franco Lugo and Riffuz, with eight songs, such material was released by independent label Gravis Records for Mexico, Central and South America. Also received international distribution via: Melodic Revolution in North America, Rock Stakk Records in Japan and Guitar Euroshop (online-store) in Europe.
This first Album Mixing styles like hard rock and new age. An album that highlights the composition and excellent way to combine both styles. Songs like "Obsession", "MYRBY", "Crystal Colors" and "Crack-pot" have a hard rock style. However, songs like "One Life", "Thinking in you", "In Your Eyes" and "Make a Choice" are songs with a new-age style and interesting orchestral passages.
