With southern-inspired soul and a heaping dose of the blues, multiple awardwinning Canadian Chris Colepaugh releases his first single of 2019 titled "Louder" - officially released January 18th. In it he delivers a powerhouse of driving rhythms, crunchy guitar licks, and badass vocals. As the multiple awardwinning frontman of the group Chris Colepaugh and the Cosmic Crew he has performed at prestigious festivals such as SXSW, CMW, NXNE, NEMO, Evolve, Canadian Music Cafe and has spent more than two decades actively touring Canada and the United States. Part of his itineraries has included dates with Government Mule, North Mississippi Allstars, and Big Sugar as well as CCCC performances at the House of Blues, the Hard Rock Café, tours of New England and southern US, the U.S. West Coast, Southern California and multiple cross Canada tours.
In addition to his band and solo work, Chris has lent his multi-instrument talents to platinum artists Roch Voisine, Big Sugar, fiddle champion Samantha Robichaud and NB blues icon Matt Andersen and has toured Europe, Russia and Africa with them. And all this while releasing his own music, putting on live stream interactive concerts and planning for his upcoming releases.
Chris has taken home two East Coast Music Awards including Fan Choice of the Year as well as three Music NB Awards including Songwriter, Musician and Rock Artist of the Year. Chris was also announced as a finalist for the International Acoustic Music Awards and won the prestigious Contact East Touring Excellence Award. He is proudly endorsed by Gibson Guitars, Black Bridge Amps, Benrod Pedals, Jetslide, Los Cabos sticks and Sennheiser Microphones.
Chris Colepaugh’s song “Caught Up To You” was featured on the international hit television show Degrassi: The Next Generation. He was also a semifinalist in the Starbucks Music Maker Series in Vermont and was featured alongside Moe., Bob Weir and Umphrey’s McGee on the 10,000 Lakes Festival Release.
Chris's newest project "12 on 12" is a single to streaming/radio each month for a year starting in January 2019..
