Greg Jaquin

Greg Jacquin traces his roots and his inspiration to the Hudson Valley in New York. Born in Sleepy Hollow in 1970 to a young single Cuban immigrant who worked as a waitress, Jacquin spent much of his early life with his Cuban grandparents and grew up on The Beatles and Cat Stevens. He picked up his stepdad’s guitar as soon as he could hold it, and began playing in bands in high school, recording several albums in the early '90s. Years spent having a family and working took him away from music, but after retiring from law enforcement and facing personal obstacles, songwriting led him back. Jacquin found new energy for music along the Hudson Valley in the company of the many creative artists who live there.
Returning to music in the past decade with a variety of exceptional bands and while parenting his youngest child, Jacquin has re-emerged as a musician with a new LP Hudson River, out now. Jacquin’s band consists of singer, songwriter and piano player Paul Griffin and singer, songwriter and guitarist Rich Berta who share songwriting duties. Bass player Lalit Loomba and drummer Peter Wilson hold down the bottom end. The band is currently based in the Hudson Valley, NY and is preparing to tour in anticipation of their full length follow-up album expected to be ready for an early 2019 release.
"Hudson River is quite an impressive return to the “arena” for Greg Jacquin and his band’s anticipated full length, due in 2019, will undoubtedly prove to be one of the year’s most compelling indie releases." - Mindy McCall - No Depression http://nodepression.com/album-review/greg-jacquin-hudson-river "It’s a beautiful collection of songs that get to the heart of moving on, loneliness, and being lost. Jacquin’s vocals are divine. He has this sound that is both light and dark at the same time. You’ll never find yourself turning these songs down. Warning: they will hit you right in the feels. These are deep songs that will have you reflecting on your own life." - Yvonne Glasgow Beat https://beat.media/greg-jacquin-on-the-hudson-river  "Jacquin and his band build a beautiful, flowing river of sound by carefully combining indie folk, Americana and indie rock." - Christopher Gonda - Pure Grain Audio http://puregrainaudio.com/videos/greg-jacquins-new-music-video-will-leave-you-floating-exclusive-premiere
"Musically, every track brings a deluxe array of dreamy, ambient tones and textures; mixing keys, strings, layers of vocal harmonies, guitars, horns and more into rich and vast compositions—song after song." and "this collection of songs represents a fine collaboration of skilled, artistic players who’ve created something which fans of the singer/songwriter, folk, acoustic, and Americana genres can appreciate, many times over." - Noah Hittner - The Ark Of Music http://thearkofmusic.com/greg-jacquin-hudson-river/ "Five-star collection of inspiring and heartfelt songs about water, nature, and humanity, are the talented musicians backing each track and the vocals that sound amazing, with a little bit of gravel to them." - Side Stage Magazine http://www.sidestagemagazine.com/greg-jacquins-hudson-river/ “Hudson River proves Greg Jacquin to be a tremendous master of his careful, with a keen ear for melody and an ability to weave an intersecting series of stories into a satisfying whole." - Brian Mains - Skope https://skopemag.com/2018/04/23/greg-jacquin-hudson-river-ep "Solid release that anyone who enjoys Folk-Rock and /or Indie Rock will thoroughly enjoy. The combination of the eight tracks create a release that is very easy to listen to and is the type of release that begs the listener to simply put the album on and just let it play out. And that is easy to do when there isn’t a weak track on the release." - Mathesin Kamin - The Rock and Roll Report http://rockandrollreport.com/cd-review-greg-jacquin-hudson-river/ "The project is really interesting, to listen in full is the best way to truly get everything out of it. Well worth exploring." - Rebecca Cullen - Stereo Stickman https://stereostickman.com/reviews/greg-jacquin-hudson-river/

Seven and Counting

Seven and Counting is a new, eight-member band with a several demo tracks recorded so far.
Our sound is a kind of a mixture of styles and influences each and every one of us picked up "along the road", from rock to country and blues and whatever falls between so it's hard for us to select one single genre to match our style.
We are currently working on new and original songs for our first record.
We live and work in Croatia, Europe.
