Artist's Biography
Originally from North Wales, singer/songwriter Aled Hughes is now located in the idyllic southern coastal town of Llantwit Major. He has released four albums It's Acoustic, '67. Earl Lane and his latest I Remember. The albums are available to download worldwide and are available on many sites including Amazon, iTunes, Deezer, You Tube and Spotify.
Probably best categorised as being in the pop-country-folk genre, he writes songs in both English and Welsh. Some take quite a light hearted perspective, while others deal with heavier themes. As well as composing his own material, Aled does his own renditions of popular covers by artists such as Roy Orbinson, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, CCR, Elvis, Prince, Ed Sheeran, Stereophonics, Radiohead, Bruce Springstein Hank Williams, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Waterboys, Buddy Holly, Leonard Cohen, Meic Stevens, Dafydd Iwan and Tebot Piws and Welsh standards such as Calon Lan, Sosban Fach, Lawr Ar Lan y Mor, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau.
He has been featured on many radio programmes at home, Europe and the USA as well as appearing on Welsh language TV channel S4C and Bay TV Swansea.
