Artist's Biography

Bumpy Soup is a creative collective based in St. George, Utah, made up of musicians, filmmakers, comedians, and creatives of all kinds. The collective brings together artists who share a common vision of creativity, collaboration, and a passion for making art with their friends. Bumpy Soup formed in 2021 around the filming of their first short, Social Insecurity Number. The group has now gone on to release 2 more movies, Night of the Living Ted and Flame of the Void: A Stoner Noir, a collaborative album, The Bumpy Album, as well as 30 episodes of the Bumpy Soup Podcast.

About the Album

The Bumpy Album, released on August 6th, 2024, is Bumpy Soup's first foray into releasing music as a collective. The album came together with the idea of "each of us brings a song or two that we've written, and we'll all help make it come to life". From that we got 10 songs which radically differ from each other and showcase a rich tapestry of genres, including indie rock, experimental hip-hop, bedroom pop, and southwest emo. People contributed wildly across all of the tracks but no one person played on everything. It's truly a collaborative album from top to bottom.
