Artist's Biography

Darby Picnic is a songwriting and recording duo known for their unique and eclectic style. The team is composed of two talented musicians, Lee Gregory and Kent Beatty, who have been working together for years, honing their craft and creating original music that defies classification.

Unlike many songwriters, Darby Picnic focuses solely on creating music for their own enjoyment and artistic expression. They have never sought out commercial success or attempted to sell their songs to other artists. Instead, they pour their hearts and souls into every track they produce, striving to create something truly unique and special.

About the Album

Written and recorded during the pandemic that kept us all isolated. The album has a somber tone with a lot of mid and down tempo songs. As is usual for Darby Picnic, there's a lot of variation from song to song.

Darby Picnic’s next single, Down The Drain is a mid tempo rock song in a style not unlike David Bowie, but with a more psychedelic flair.
The release is scheduled for Sunday, July 7th at 9am. The single is going to be available at all the major online stores, Spotify, ITunes, Amazon, etc.
Darby Picnic is currently recording at Decade Sound and The Loft, and a full album release is forthcoming entitled “We’re Not Normal”.
