Artist's Biography
Factheory
is a Brussels-based post‑punk project known for an intimate, poetic, and
introverted sound. Their music blends post‑punk, cold wave, and occasional
folk influences, often leaning into semi‑acoustic textures and a reflective,
romantic tone.
A 2025 feature describes their style as “intimate post‑punk, a bit poetic
too, introverted rather than biting” and notes that the band has matured
through a series of singles and EPs leading up to their full-length
releases.
The group’s vocalist, Bruno Uyttersprot, has been highlighted in interviews
discussing the band’s evolution and artistic direction.

Artist's Biography
Factheory
is a Belgian band from Brussels. The band will published his first album
Serenity in Chaos (released in physical version on February 17, 2024, in
collector's form, 10 tracks + 3 bonus tracks). It was recorded throughout
2023 in several stages, both in our home studio, but also in Studio Canal 10
(Hautrage, Belgium for the vocals). A total of 17 songs were recorded.
It is a record of artisans and “amateurs”, in the good sense of the word
(those who love). We put the best of ourselves into this album by not
focusing on a specific style, but by integrating all our influences
(postpunk, new wave, dark wave, gothic and even dub). We think, despite the
fact that the styles of the pieces are quite different, that the CD
maintains a unity of sound.
About the Album
We hope you enjoy listening to Serenity in Chaos and that you enjoy talking
about it in your respective media.
