Artist's Biography
Grovesider
is one of those artists who writes like he’s standing at the edge of
something — a memory, a mistake, a new beginning — and turning it into
melody before it slips away. His sound lives in that familiar intersection
of indie rock and singer‑songwriter grit, where guitars carry the weight of
old stories and the vocals feel like they’re letting you in on something
personal.
There’s a lived‑in quality to his music: warm, human, a little bruised, but
always reaching for clarity. Grovesider doesn’t chase trends; he builds
songs the way people build shelters — with intention, with patience, with
the understanding that someone out there needs a place to sit and breathe
for a moment. His work feels handcrafted, honest, and quietly cinematic, the
kind of songwriting that resonates long after the last chord fades.
About the Album
"Here We Go Again" is Grovesider’s latest
step into the cycle of falling down, standing up, and trying once more. It’s
an album shaped by repetition — not the dull kind, but the human kind: the
way we return to old habits, old hopes, old roads, even when we know they
might hurt us. Grovesider turns that loop into a narrative, giving each
track the feeling of a chapter in a story you’ve lived yourself.
The album moves with a steady pulse — guitars that glow like streetlights on
a familiar walk home, vocals that carry both resignation and resolve, and
lyrics that sit right in the pocket between reflection and release. Some
songs lean into the ache of déjà vu; others push forward with a quiet
determination, as if reminding you that starting over is still a kind of
progress.
_Here We Go Again_ isn’t about giving up. It’s about acknowledging the
truth: life rarely moves in straight lines. Grovesider captures that
beautifully, offering an album that feels like a companion for anyone who’s
ever said, “Alright… one more try.”
On LonelyOakRadio, it fits perfectly into that late‑night current where the
indie world gets honest — where listeners lean in, and the music answers
back.

Not Enough"
Artist's Biography
This
is the third album from Grovesider; it's an album which is the best yet, and
as with the first two albums it is rammed with songs which are equally
uplifting and thought-provoking.
To have ended up with twelve songs of such high quality is all the more
impressive after the life-impacting occurrences for David Edward Pope (who
is Grovesider).
Apart from one, all the songs were written in 2024, then studio demos were
developed in January 2025 before work on the album had to stop because of
what happened to David.
He was well enough to re-commence work on the album in summer 2025, with
completion in September.
All the words and music is written by David, but once again he has worked
with his long-time collaborator and producer Alan Charles Smith. All songs
are arranged and performed by David and Alan with the exception of the drums
which Lewis Williams did a brilliant job on.
