Artist's Biography
HOT
ICE Song Writer, Band Leader, Producer, Singer and Dancer.
HOT ICE is no stranger to the New York City music scene. As a native New
Yorker, he started his career playing with various bands throughout the five
boroughs. During his youth, he acquired his thirst for music from his
Panamanian parents who were singers in the group, Melodiers. While attending
many of their rehearsals and concerts, he learned how to play several
musical instruments as well as the importance of improving his musical
skills.
Hot Ice’s talent for playing the bass guitar has led him to perform with
internationally known artists as Ray Goodman & Brown, Crown Heights Affair,
Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir. In 2001, as a bass guitar
accompanist for the youth gospel choir, Voices of Harmony, Hot Ice’s playing
contributed to the choir receiving the 1st prize at the McDonald’s Gospel
Fest. As a freelance bass guitarist, he has played with a wide variety of
independent bands in New Jersey and New York at such venues as Town Hill 2,
The Ecstasy, President Chateau and Club Dee on 673 Flatbush Ave. Since 2013,
he has given free summer concerts in New York neighborhood communities
sponsored by Make Music New York.
Presently, Hot Ice is busy creating new music of many genres – Gospel, Jazz,
R&B, Reggae, Rock, Salsa, Soca, Soul and Neo Soul. His love for unique music
arrangements, coupled with articulate composing spent in his own industry
standard recording studio and record label – HOT NEW ENTERTAINMENT, keeps
him alive. He’s also CEO of GUITARZAN PRODUCTION. Look for his newly
released music in all digital stores and streaming services.
