Artist's Biography

Hailing from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, Iain Clarke has usually been part of a team effort in the last ten years, contributing to bands such as Ringo and the Wolf, Nine Violets, The Late Arrivals Club, Crosslands Fold, Hobson, Teamaker/Clarke, 2018 BC and providing drums for US based artist Craig Buchanan. A multi instrumentalist and songwriter in his own right, he has stepped forward to present his most personal and intimate work to date.

Taken from his album, ‘Standing On Hollowed Ground’, the tender and yet uplifting song ‘Let Me Know’ is described by its writer as ‘a song for anyone who needs to hear it’. Featuring Clarke playing all instruments, along-side the stunning vocals of long time collaborator Gemma Jarrett, ‘Let Me Know’ has been compared to the work of Paul Heaton, Bill Withers and the vocal stylings of the Beach Boys. Written for a friend, and now shared with the world, ‘Let Me Know’ is a song of hope for those who need a hand in the dark.
