Artist's Biography

Dear Reader,
Greetings! Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm Lacobo-Jomes, a singer-songwriter from East Yorkshire, UK and I'm super excited to be releasing my second, official album - 'Be Here When It Hurts' - which will be available as a digital download mid-November. This new album is a humble reflection on the fragile, yet resilient human spirit, traversing a line of emotions both light and dark. Written primarily on piano and guitar, these tracks were recorded at my home studio (BSC-3) before being mixed and mastered by the excellent Nick Dawes at La Source studios, France. The first single, 'Pretty Nepal (Make You My Girl)' is available now!

Let me tell you a little more about my musical background. I found my voice as an awkward teenager, waiting for my parents to go out before singing along to pop tunes through a tape recorder. It wasn't until going to college that I began writing and performing music; bonding with a like-minded spirit and close friend of mine, 'Rui-gen' (a brilliant songwriter, you should check him out too). After which, I went on to record and tour with Nottingham band C.F. Kane and then as The Delta Rays. Having since parted ways, I learned to forge a new direction as a solo artist, and so began my foray into the perilous world of home studio recording. Album: Wrong About the Girl

Although now based in Yorkshire, England, Lacobo-Jomes grew up in Nottinghamshire. Whilst attending college, he befriended a like-minded, musical spirit with whom he began writing songs and finding his voice. He later went on to record and tour with ‘C F Kane’ and ‘The Delta Rays’. As a solo artist, he has also collaborated on a number of recordings with talented Nottingham singer-songwriter, ‘Rui-gen‘. Lacobo-Jomes has officially released two albums -‘Waning of the First Inspiration‘ and now his latest, ‘Wrong About the Girl‘. The songs were written and recorded at KNED4 studios in the UK before being mixed and mastered by Nick Dawes at La Source studio, France. This new release is a guitar driven, alt-rock album with an underbelly of grunge. Meanwhile, its lyrics reflect contemporary social and political influences – carrying the listener along on a wave of emotions both light and dark
