Artist's Biography

Hailing from the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia, Lion Island are a 4 piece band that play loud, angular, fuzzy, desperately melodic guitar music.

Formed in 2016 they have built up a reputation in Australia for their blistering, hectic live shows.

They've put out a steady stream of releases over the past 10 years culminating in their new album HEAVY LIFTING .

HEAVY LIFTING sees the band navigating the infectious indie soundscapes and abrasively catchy songs that have made them a fan favourite.

Self produced and proudly DIY from t-shirts to vinyl to recording and mixing themselves its all inhouse.

Songs of love, hate, bored vampires, broken bones and termite hearts, cracked actors and awkward social characters.

About the Album

Heavy Lifting sees Lion Island take off in a heavier direction for album #5. Still imbued with infectious melodies but the guitars are now on 11 and the fuzz is all encompassing.
