Artist's Biography

Origins & Formation
Lugnet was sparked in 2009 when drummer Fredrik Jansson-Punkka (also known for Angel Witch, Witchcraft, Abramis Brama, and Count Raven) met bassist Lennart "Z" Zethzon at Sweden Rock Festival.

The band officially formed in 2012, bringing in guitarists Bonden Jansson and Mackan Holten, along with vocalist Roger Solander.

Musical Style
Their sound is steeped in the primal stomp of Deep Purple, the dark sermonizing of Black Sabbath, and the cinematic grandeur of Rainbow.

Lugnet’s music is a high-voltage blend of ferocious guitar solos, thunderous drums, and soaring vocals, often compared to the spirit of Led Zeppelin and AC/DC..

Evolution & Lineup Changes
Vocalist Johan Fahlberg replaced Solander, bringing a soulful edge reminiscent of Dio and Coverdale.
Guitarist Matti Norlin and later Micke Linder (formerly of Troubled Horse) joined the band, contributing to a more dynamic and collaborative songwriting process.

Live Presence
Lugnet made waves at Sweden Rock Festival 2018, packing out their tent even while Ozzy Osbourne performed on the main stage.
