Artist's Biography

Richard Belgium, JHell Berge (Gabba Lovers, Skin Deep) and Dominique Nuydt (Factheory) have come together to bring you MI6, an entirely new musical project.
We came of age in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s, an exceptional period directly inspired by the punk do-it-yourself attitude to creativity—a true catalyst for emotion and invention. We have all performed in numerous bands and taken part in various projects, far too many to list here.
Dominique composes, sings, writes lyrics and plays several instruments. He currently performs with Factheory, a darkwave/post-punk band. Jean-Luc plays guitar and currently performs with Skin Deep and Gabba Lovers. Richard is the lead vocalist, also writes lyrics and brings a captivating stage presence. He recently released a highly eclectic album produced and composed by Déhà, a member of the black metal band Imperator.

MI6’s first mini-LP is now available on all the usual digital platforms. It includes the previously released singles The Mind Machine, Echoes of the Red Dawn Call and Krieg-B’s remix of The Mind Machine. It also features Warning!—originally titled Neo Nazi Punk—as well as two new tracks, Leather Weather and Bonker Bunker.

The mini-LP has been released on CD, vinyl and digital formats. Physical editions can be
ordered through our Bandcamp page. Recorded at Canal 10 Studio in Hautrage, Belgium,
and mixed/mastered by Jack Gallows.

**MI6** is a dark‑wave and post‑punk project rising from the heart of Belgium’s underground scene — a reunion of musicians whose paths have crossed through decades of alternative music, experimental sound, and nocturnal club culture.

The group brings together **Richard Belgium** (vocals), **JHell Berge** (guitars; Gabba Lovers, Skin Deep), and **Dominique Nuydt** (bass, synths; Factheory), with **Misty** (So New Wave Party DJ, Ultimate Dreamers designer) adding backing vocals and visual identity. Each member carries a distinct lineage from Brussels’ shadowy corners of goth, cold wave, EBM, and post‑punk — and MI6 is where those histories converge.

Their sound is a collision of **new wave melancholy, cold‑wave minimalism, post‑punk grit, and cinematic darkness**, shaped by influences that stretch from Joy Division and The Stranglers to Bowie, Black Sabbath, and the European industrial underground. MI6 moves between tension and tenderness, between mechanical pulse and human vulnerability — a modern echo of the late‑70s/80s aesthetic without falling into imitation.

Their debut single **“The Mind Machine”** introduced the project with a brooding, hypnotic atmosphere, paired with visuals inspired by 1960s British pop‑culture espionage. Follow‑up releases like **“Echoes of the Red Dawn Call”** deepen their world: introspective, shadow‑lit, and emotionally charged.

MI6 is not nostalgia — it’s a continuation. A new chapter written by artists who lived the earlier ones.
For listeners drawn to the darker edges of wave music, MI6 offers a sound that feels both familiar and newly awakened.
