Since forming in 2017, London/Manchester based 4 piece Plain Sails have exploded on the live music circuit with their powerful and emotive brand of alternative rock. The deeply personal subject matter and cutting lyrics are balanced beautifully with piercing melodies and soaring, relentless moments in an energetic yet touching sound which draws upon a plethora of eclectic influences cut with a compelling current edge.
Their current & second single release of 2019 - ‘Scars’ - personifies their sound with its deep lyrical content, depth of texture and explosion into bold, anthemic choruses.
It follows the success of previous singles ‘Made of Glass’, ‘Carousel’, ‘To the Moon’ & ‘All the Lights’ which also gathered high media praise and airplay with BBC Introducing & numerous regional stations.
In the last 18 months the band have released 6 singles, played to large crowds in venues including The Dome, Tufnell Park and The O2 Academy Islington, supported The VirginMarys & Razz on their UK tours, headlined a stage at Camden Rocks festival and embarked on shows outside of the capital. In October Soho Radio aired a full hours’ feature including interview and airplay of each release.
This year the band have played main support to Toploader at the O2 Academy in Islington and return to Camden Rocks Festival, with UK dates planned in the spring. Further dates, festivals and releases are planned from the summer.
