Artist's Biography

Randy Harris is an independent singer-songwriter, recording artist, and composer based in Pennsylvania whose work blends elements of pop, rock, and jazz-influenced contemporary music. With a background rooted in both musicianship and audio production, Harris has developed a distinctive sound defined by strong melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and polished arrangements.

He began his musical journey studying classical and jazz piano, which provided a strong harmonic and compositional foundation that continues to shape his songwriting. Over time, his interests expanded beyond performance into songwriting, recording, and production, allowing him to take a hands-on role in every stage of the creative process.

Early in his career, Harris gained valuable professional experience working as an audio engineer at A&R Recording Studios in New York City, the renowned studio operated by
legendary producer Phil Ramone. There, he was exposed to high-level studio practices, professional session workflows, and industry standards—experience that would later inform the quality and self-sufficiency of his independent music career.

As a recording artist, Harris has released multiple albums and EPs of original material, including Matters For Consideration, Never Apart, Fading In The Sun, Moonlight Escape, and the EP All Your Dreams. His catalog spans a wide emotional and stylistic range, often combining accessible pop structures with jazz-influenced harmony and subtle rhythmic
sophistication. His music has reached a broad audience online, accumulating more than six
million streams across digital platforms.

In addition to his solo work, Harris was a founding member of the Harris and Crane Band, which achieved regional recognition in the Philadelphia and greater Pennsylvania music scene. He has performed live throughout Pennsylvania and across the United States, including appearances at the Main Point and Presidents Palace, in both solo and ensemble settings, and is known for performances that emphasize musicality, clarity, and connection with audiences.

Throughout his career, Randy Harris has maintained a fully independent approach—writing, performing, recording, and overseeing the creative direction of his projects. His work reflects a commitment to craft, emotional honesty, and artistic growth, positioning him as a versatile and seasoned musician with a sustained and evolving body of work.

RANDY HARRIS studied classical and jazz piano in his early years and later went on to become a founding member of the Harris and Crane Band (FFO RECORDS, N.Y., N.Y.).

After several successful years with the Harris and Crane Band, Randy became a member of the staff at legendary producer Phil Ramone's A & R Recording Studios in New York City, as an audio engineer. Randy departed A & R Recording Studios to pursue a solo music career (MALVERN RECORDS, Malvern, PA) and toured successfully across the United States including performances at the Main Point and Presidents Palace.

Following up the success of his three CD's, “MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION”, “NEVER APART” and “FADING IN THE SUN” , Randy Harris will release his fourth CD “MOONLIGHT ESCAPE” (RHM Records, Reading, PA) July 21, 2022.

This new CD contains 10 new, diverse and dynamic songs about love and life, written and produced in the unique style that only Randy Harris can create!
