Sonic X is a modern rock band based in Toronto, Canada. The band consists of members, Joey Greco, Joseph Cumbo, Adam Troy and new member Sil Simone. The band formed in 2004 from a collection of accomplished musicians that had a common interest in writing and producing great memorable music that rocks! Sonic X music Has Evolved from Guitar driven riffs to include layers of instrumentation that adds color and depth.

The new direction has the songs becoming even more memorable, melodic and accessible to a wider audience of music lovers. The new material will take you on a journey with passages to unexpected places. The writing and musicianship in Sonic X are flawless and the production is world class. Sonic X write songs that come from deep within their soul and are personal and relatable. This combination has allowed Sonic X to craft a unique sound that’s become their signature.

About the album – XIV Shades of X:
“Sonic XIV” is the 6th release from Canadian rockers, Sonic X

On the newest album, the vocal duties are split between returning original vocalist Adam Troy who is featured on 3 songs (All in My Head, Anxiety and Tomorrow) and Joey Greco who takes the lead on the remaining 11 songs.

The album contains 14 songs that were written from personal experiences that members of the band have gone through or witnessed. The listener will no doubt relate to various songs on the album. The title came about when the members of the band were discussing the songs on the album. It was evident that the album had a collection of 14 unique and diverse sounding songs each with its own vibe and feel.

Therefore, new member Sil Simone recommended 14 Shades of Sonic X to best describe the collection of songs on the album.

The first single from the album is the mesmerizing “Anxiety”. This song has an arena rock vibe and is full of angst that captures the feeling most people are experiencing in these turbulent times. The band also released an intense video for Anxiety which could be viewed on their YouTube channel. Radio stations will no doubt reach deep into this album as every song has potential for radio airplay! Note: This is the first Sonic X album with Sil Simone as a full-time member of the band!

Album: All Been Said and Done



Artist's Biography

Sonic X is a modern hard rock band from Toronto, Canada. The band consists of members, Joey Greco, Lawrence Falcomer, Joseph Cumbo & Adam Troy. Sonic X music consists of guitar driven riffs with an edge but also include memorable, melodic passages that take you to unexpected places. The writing and musicianship in Sonic X are flawless and the production is world class. Sonic X write songs that come from deep within their soul and are personal. This combination has allowed Sonic X to craft a unique sound that’s become their signature. Sonic X formed in 2004 when they released their self-titled debut CD on Z Records. The CD featured the popular song “News for You” which to this day remains one of Sonic X’s most downloaded and streamed songs.

In 2007 Sonic X released their follow up CD titled “THIRTEEN” on Chavis Records. THIRTEEN featured the single “Seeds of Thunder” which received airplay on Sirius XM’s Breaking Bone program. THIRTEEN also included 4 bonus tracks from the Debut CD.

In 2015 Sonic X released their most popular effort, the 4 song EP titled “Fall from Grace”. The EP featured the singles “Save Yourself” and “PRAY” which received significant airplay on radio, especially on Sirius XM's Octane station...the premier radio station for emerging Hard Rock music. In 2019 The band had a change of direction with Joey Greco taking over lead vocals from original vocalist Adam Troy who took a break for personalreasons.

In August 2019, Sonic X released “Leave Me Alone” their st single since 2015 to positive reviews. Sonic X then released a new 5 song EP titled “Fly Around the World” on November th 2019, which also featured the follow up single aptly titled “Fly Around the World” a radio friendly song with a haunting catchy chorus that will stay with you long after listening.

On April th 2020 Sonic X released “My Wonderful Life” which is the rd single from the “Fly Around The World “ EP. A timely song about reflecting on your life.
Adam Troy rejoined the band in 2021 and will be splitting the vocal duties with Joey Greco. In January 2022 Sonic X released their rd full album titled "All Been Said and Done" featuring their first single "All Been Said and Done", a modern hard rock song with a memorable chorus.
Adam returns to sing on 2 tracks on the new album, “So Alone” and the haunting “Spaces”. Joining Sonic X on the new album is experienced and extremely talented guitarist Sil Simon. Sil has toured with the likes of Tom Cochrane, Rik Emmett, Triumph, Lee Aaron etc. Sil has also worked on the theatre productions of Rock of Ages, We Will Rock you and Bat out of Hell. Sil will be playing a more prominent role in Sonic X on subsequent releases.


About the Album

“All Been Said and Done” is the 5th release from Canadian rockers, Sonic X. The result is a mesmerizing, personal album where it’s evident every song comes from deep within their soul. Sonic X had previously released two full-length albums and 2 EP’s. On the newest album, “All Been Said and Done”, former vocalist Adam Troy makes his return from a personal hiatus to sing on 2 tracks, “So Alone” and the haunting tune, “Spaces”. Adam returns and fits in seamlessly; he will give long time Sonic X fans a feeling of comfort and familiarity. The first single and title track “All Been Said and Done” sets the tone for the new album. It is a modern hard rock song with an extremely catchy chorus that will resonate with you and have you singing it over and over. Sonic X continues to deliver heavy guitar inspired rock but have added even more melodic elements to their song writing that will draw listeners in for repeated plays. Making an appearance on the new album is the extremely talented and experienced guitarist Sil Simone. Sil has toured with Canadian legends Tom Cochrane, Rik Emmett, Triumph, Lee Aaron etc. Sil plays guitar on the title track on the new Sonic X album “All Been Said and Done” as well as on “Spaces”.

It's hard to compare Sonic X to other bands in the Hard Rock arena as Sonic X has crafted a unique sound by combining a classic rock vibe with production and elements of modern music.
