Artist's Biography

Crypto Knight is a UK/US duo consisting of composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Dave Johnson and lyricist, vocalist Tim Malugin. The two met online during a music course and discovered that despite different backgrounds, they shared similar musical influences. The pair started writing together and new material came together very quickly throughout 2021. The resulting music demonstrates their unique and varied style which has been described as a mix of Neo Prog, Art Rock, Alternative, and Electro Rock. Releases to date include the albums “The Quest” (2022), “The Journey” (2022) and “The Odyssey (2023), as well as the EP “Summer Skies (2023)


About the Album

Crypto Knight announce the release of their new E.P., "Four Fables". The release features 4 tracks and is set to be released on May 31st 2024.

Artist's Biography

Crypto Knight is Dave Johnson (The Forgotten Man) & Tim Malugin (Tim Malugin Music). Having met online during a music course the pair realized that despite very different backgrounds (Dave from North East England (now based in Las Vegas) & Tim from Southern USA) they had similar musical influences including Folk Rock, Classic Rock, Progressive Rock and Electronic Music and so started writing together. With Dave composing the music and Tim providing melodies and lyrics, the early online collaborations as part of their course were focused on more modern commercial sounding tracks. However, it was soon apparent that they preferred to write in their more familiar Rock style and so new material came together very quickly. Their music demonstrates their unique and varied style which has been described as a mix of Neo Progressive, Indie and Electronic Rock.


About the Album

Crypto Knight are excited to announce the release of their Summer Skies EP. The EP consists of 4 tracks that didn't fit into the previous albums musically, but are definitely gems that should not be missed out on.

The Summer Skies EP showcases the band's versatility, with the first 2 tracks having an acoustic and chilled-out vibe, perfect for listening to on a lazy Summer day. The last 2 tracks, on the other hand, pay homage to early 70's Rock and will take you on a journey with their captivating riffs and infectious hooks.
