Artist's Biography

David Philip Ireland is a writer, poet, musician, artist and experimentalist. David was born in Cheltenham in 1949, and was educated at Gloucestershire College of Art & Design, where he studied Fashion and Textile Design.

Ireland moved to Amsterdam in 1971 and lived and worked there until his return to the UK in 1996. David Philip Ireland has worked in many aspects of the arts, including music, theatre and photography, publishing a number of solo and collaborative music projects, two novels, 'Slow Poison' and 'Bloodstones’, and two anthologies of poetry - Splinters & Sparks and Rattlesnake Jar
