Artist's Biography

Jim Trainor (short bio) Born in suburban Philadelphia. Currently lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Toured and recorded with Black Rose in the 80s. Took a couple decades off then built a home recording studio. Currently composes and records with artists from all over the world. Released the 6-song EP Glass Half Full in 2020. Full album Staring Down The Sun released May 3rd, 2021. Happily married to Marci. We have two dogs and two cats. I've been involved with Greyhound Dog rescue and adoption for 25 years.


About the Album

Jim Trainor's "Staring Down The Sun" was just released on May 3rd, 2021, and is the follow-up to last year's "Glass Half Full." Twelve songs in the melodic rock vein, a la Oasis, The Beatles, Matthew Sweet, etc. Guest stars include Tom Curless (Tom Curless and the 46%), Lindsay Murray (Grethchen's Wheel), Keith Klingensmith (The Legal Matters), and Stefanie Drexler (Dear Stella).
