Vibrantly different and uniquely familiar, Quorum are one of the freshest bands on the emerging UK scene


WHO ARE WE?

Quorum is a British Indie Pop band based in Exeter, UK.

Forming in late 2016, the band went on to release their first ep ‘Art Is Dead’ in 2018. the punk-inspired 4 track was well received by Quorum’s growing fan base and captured the attitude and energy of their live performances.

Over the following months, the band gigged relentlessly across the southwest; including festival stages at Chagstock and Shebfest in 2019 as well as more intimate shows at venues such as the cobblestones, the cavern and the junction. During this time the Quorum sound and stage show evolved as the band blended their punk/indie/rock roots with an alternative-pop sound which ultimately led to the creation of their three singles, ’Boyfriend’, ‘Go’ and ‘Doubts’ which released in 2020.

‘Boyfriend’ is an undeniable indie-pop anthem, dropping in march 2020 and showcasing the new Quorum sound and was received with unanimous applause. The “Boyfriend” music video had received much attention and the track had an incredible amount of radio play, most notably from BBC radio devon from where BBC Introducing presenter and host Sarah Gosling tipped it as her track of the week across Radio Devon as well as Radio Cornwall. Local music magazines and online blogs and magazines also gave hugely positive reviews and ratings.

“Boyfriend” was quickly followed up with the next single, ‘Go’ in May of 2020. “Go” received similar accolades from industry insiders and influencers as well as a positive reaction from the fanbase.

In August 2020 Quorum released “Doubts”, the final track of the “Boyfriend Trilogy”. “Doubts” saw the bands audience grow exponentially and as with “Boyfriend” and “Go” there was a fantastic amount of radio play and positive reception.

iN THE TAIL END OF JUNE 2021 QUORUM HAVE JUST RELEASE THEIR LATEST EFFORT, THE 7 TRACK EP ‘THE DEATH OF INTELLECTUAL SUCCESS’ WHICH HAS BEEN RECIEVED TO PHENOMINALLY FROM BOTH FANS AND CRITICAL PUBLICATIONS ALIKE.

FROM NOW TILL THE END OF THE YEAR THE BAND PLANS ON TOURING THEIR NEW MATERIAL ALL OVER THE COUNTRY SO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE CAN COME AND EXPERIENCE THEIR UINIQUE SONGWRITING AND ENERGY IN PERSON AS POSSIBLE.
