Album: Where Dreams Hurt
Artist's Biography
“Poetic,
cryptic, and angsty; with a main singer who definitely looks like the next
Enrique Iglesias.” – RGM Magazine
Vaquelin are a four-piece rock band from York. Meeting at university, they
recorded half their debut album (ʻWhere Dreams Hurt’) pre-pandemic and
finished recording the latter half in summer 2020. The album has been mixed
and mastered by Luiz Fernando Vieira (Audio Arena, São Paulo), finally
releasing on the th of January 2022.
Vaquelin offers a unique flavour of rock, blending elements of s hard-rock,
modern progressive and mainstream rock sensibilities, and tying these
together with an accessible alternative-pop ribbon. Resting somewhere
between Highly Suspect, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and cleopatrick, the Vaquelin
sound was cultivated as a product of the members’ diverse inspirations.
“Vaquelin are already proving their place within the airwaves of alternative
rock [...] passionate vocals and resounding rock production beckon listeners
to find a place for Vaquelin within their regular library.” –
Glasse Factory
“If Led Zeppelin had sweaty, dirty, illicit sex with Bring Me The Horizon,
Vaquelin would be the haunted offspring. Sometimes funky, but always heavy
tunes with classy rock vocals prove that this band knows how to rock.” –
